Stuart Broad joins exclusive club with 600 Test wickets in the Ashes

Stuart Broad, the veteran English bowler, achieved a momentous milestone by taking his 600th Test wicket during the fourth Ashes Test against Australia at Old Trafford.

He became the second pacer ever to reach this feat, following James Anderson, his compatriot. The 37-year-old achieved the milestone in his 166th Test match by dismissing Travis Head in the first innings.

Out of the 600 wickets, 394 were claimed in England, and 206 came from overseas matches. Broad now joins an elite group of bowlers, including Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, Anil Kumble, and James Anderson, who have achieved 600 Test wickets.

Besides his Test success, Broad has also been a prominent figure in ODI and T20I formats, amassing 175 and 65 wickets, respectively. He currently ranks seventh on the list of most wickets in international cricket, with 842 scalps.

Furthermore, with his 166th Test appearance, Broad is now tied with Jacques Kallis for the fifth spot on the list of players with the most Test matches. Sachin Tendulkar holds the top position with a record 200 Test appearances.
