An aggressive battle to acquire the signature of some of the finest Indian cricketing talent is on the cards in the IPL mega auction this year, when players like Shreyas Iyer, R Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Shikhar Dhawan, Deepak Chahar, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Yuzvendra Chahal and many more go under the hammer in the auction this year.
It will be interesting to see if any of the franchises pounces on the veteran to get his services for their teams.
