Skipper Rohit Sharma wants the team to play with a lot of “security” before the T20 World Cup in Australia next month, and is pleased to see Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel back in the full-strength India squad for the T20I series against Australia. Rohit talked highly of the variety in the current lineup, pointing towards a strong combination of pace and spin, despite the fact that India had to play without several of its important players during the Asia Cup, notably in the bowling department.

“We always wanted to have variety in our attack. We never wanted to go into the World Cup with a one dimensional attack… the five seamers who are part of the World Cup team bring different things to us, and then we’ve got three quality spinners,” said Rohit.
