Australia won the third ODI against England by 8 wickets as skipper Lanning along with Perry chased the remaining target in just 36.2 overs. Australia got a good start by the opening pair but the duo got out one by one in an over’s gap. England women seemed to struggle in the series have not won a single game throughout the Ashes series. England scored 163 runs as they lost 10 wickets in the first innings for which the Australian women easily dominated the game having chased such an easy target.
Sutherland’s four-wicket haul awarded her the Player of the Match trophy which helped team Australia to seal England’s innings at 163 runs. Sutherland finishes off this series with a successful spell which shall benefit the player’s confidence for the upcoming tours and tournaments.
Tahlia McGrath’s sensational performance throughout the series helped Australia to win critical games in this series. Tahlia took 5 wickets in just 2 ODI games and has been awarded as the Player of the Series.
Australia ends the Ashes with a beautiful win and England women have to rethink the game plan before the next face-off game against the rivals Australia.
The 3 T20 games ended with 1-0 in Australia’s favour as the 2nd and the 3rd T20 were concluded at ‘no result’ because of bad weather and rain. The Only-Test was iconically witnessed as a draw with both the teams performing beautifully in the longest format of cricket. The ODI series was whitewashed by the hosts as England lost all three games in the ODI series.
