Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu feels that Sanju Samson should have played instead of Shivam Dube in the current T20 World Cup 2024. Samson who has been phenomenal in T20 cricket especially for Rajasthan Royals hasn’t been given chance in the T20 World Cup 2024 yet.
Two games have been played so far and India have won both of these. Ireland and Pakistan have been defeated by Rohit Sharma’s side. Still Rayudu feels Sanju should be playing instead of Shivam Dube. Dube isn’t having a great time with bat especially after the World Cup’s selection and thus the fans are questioning his place in the XI.
Indian team went with the same XI in yesterday’s game against Pakistan. Dube came on to bat in this game and was under pressure. He was back to pavilion after scoring 3 off 9 balls. A string of low scores is hindering his position in the Indian team. After the game, Rayudu said, “I genuinely feel that Sanju should have played in place of Shivam,” via Star Sports.
Will India make a change in the playing XI for the next game against USA by incorporating Sanju Samson in place of Shivam Dube? Or will they go for the same XI?
