Ravi Shastri opens about the way Virat is different from Rohit in the way they treat the game.

Former Indian team coach Ravi Shastri has expressed his views about the two great stars of Indian cricket – Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli and how the two of them are different from one another. Rohit who is currently the skipper of the ODI and T20I teams and Virat who is the former captain of India are the two of the most popular batting stars in the current team right now it would be hard to choose one over the other based on their batting skills and expertise.

Ravi Shastri who has spent significant time with each player as India teams head coach spoke about the attitude of Rohit & Virat. He said Virat is a beast and no one can match him when it comes to passion, energy, and being competitive in the game but once he is off the field he is relaxed as one needs to be.

Virat is an absolute beast when he is on the field. He is a terrier. Once he steps on the ground he wants to compete and is not worried about anyone. He is passionate and in your face during a tense situation. When he switches off and is off the field he is a different person altogether he is calmly chilled there are no issues with him. (Shastri spoke on Shoaib Akhtar’s YouTube Channel)

Further, he spoke about the current Indian ODI and T20 captain Rohit Sharma called him ‘laid back’ in a positive way, and was impressed by the turnaround made by him in his batting. the game came easy to him till he realised that God has given him this gift and let him make the most out of it. And when he is in full flow there are only a few batters who come near him.
