Former Pakistani Player Shahid Afridi has tested positive for COVID-19 before the start of the 7th edition of the Pakistan Super League which is going to begin on Thursday.
Afridi will be in the dugout of Quetta Gladiators which will be his last season in the PSL, the player is set to miss the first few initial games for the team after coming in contact with the COVID-19 virus.
He has, unfortunately, come in contact with the COVID-19 but has no symptoms at all. “Inshallah hope to recover soon test negative and rejoin Quetta Gladiators as soon as possible. Pakistan Super League will begin on Thursday in Karachi after the opening ceremony on Thursday night. The defending champs Multan Sultans will be locking horns with Karachi Kings who were the champions of the 2020 edition.
The National Stadium will be the venue for the first fifteen matches till February 7 after which the matches will be played in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium where the remaining 19 matches of the tournament will be played from 10th to 27th of February.
Shahid Afridi will be keen to make his comeback as soon as possible after recovering from the COVID-19 and helping his team in the Tournament.
