Prithvi Shaw, Arjun Tendulkar named in over 100 probables for Vijay Hazare Trophy

Indian opener Prithvi Shaw and left-arm pacer Arjun Tendulkar have been named in the list of 104 Mumbai players picked by Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) ahead of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The names of the players were released on the MCA website on Saturday.

The son of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun made his Mumbai senior debut in the Syed Mushtaq Trophy against Haryana recently. Apart from this, the 21-year-old has also bowled to the Indian team in the nets in the past.

On the other hand, Shaw was a part of the Indian team who won the Test series in Australia. However, he only played in the Adelaide Test wherein India lost by eight wickets.

Apart from the two, Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer, all-rounder Shivam Dube, Suryakumar Yadav, Aditya Tare and experience player Dhawal Kulkarni to name a few appeared in the 104 probable players list for the camp beginning on Monday.

“All the above-selected players are requested to report at MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy, Bandra Kurla Complex on Monday, 1st February 2021 at 8.00 am in coloured clothing,” MCA secretary Sanjay Naik and Joint Secretary Shahalam Shaikh said in a statement.
