Pat Cummins ruled out for the second test of the Ashes test series against the England after covid19 scare, he has been phenomenal with his captaincy and bowling in the first test against the England in the ongoing Ashes test series. He led his team 1-0 lead with his indivisual performance and captaincy role. Cummins has been appointed the test skipper of the Australian male cricket team recently.

However, as per the latest report by Reuter, he didn’t came in direct contact with the covid19 infected individual while he was dinning in the restaurant. But, as a precautionary measure he was asked to remain in seven days of self isolation. There were three more Australian players present there but they were sitting outside and didn’t come in contact with the covid19 case. Cricket Australia defends its covid19 protocol after Cummins was forced to rule out from the second test.
Michael Naseer will replace Pat Cummins in the day night test match in Adelaide Oval which starts from Thursday.

Travis Head is appointed as the vice Captain of the team in the absence of the regular skipper Cummins.
