Pakistan Women ready to host white-ball series against West Indies Women

Pakistan Women are all set to host the West Indies for a three-match ODI and five T20Is in April. All three ODIs will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022–25 and will be held in mid-April. The West Indies tour to Pakistan will conclude with five T20I matches, which will provide both sides with plenty of time to finalise their preparations for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The following series will be played at the National Bank Stadium (NBS) in Karachi. This will be the West Indies women’s second tour of the country since 2021. The Indies visited Pakistan back in November 2021, where both teams faced each other for three ODIs. The visitors whitewashed the series 3-0.

Moreover, this will be Pakistan Women’s fourth hosting of the upcoming ODI series at home, having hosted Sri Lanka (June 2022), Ireland (November 2022), and South Africa (September 2023) earlier.

Pakistan is currently in the No. 3 position in the ICC Women’s Championship standings with 16 points, while the West Indies are towards the bottom at No. 9 with 8 points.

It will be exciting to see if the West Indies can repeat what they did in 2021 and improve their position in the Women’s Championship standings, or will Pakistan’s good form make things difficult for the visitors?
