Pakistan announce 15-man squad for 1st ODI against Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe tour of Pakistan is all set to begin on Friday, 30th of October with the first ODI at Rawalpindi.

Zimbabwe are expected to play 3 ODI’s and 3 T20I’s against Pakistan, with all matches set to be played at Rawalpindi within a fortnight. Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) are determined to bring cricket back to Pakistan and have arranged this tour as a part of the process to encourage other nations as well to tour to Pakistan for cricket. Prior to this, Pakistan have played their home games in the UAE due to absence of international cricket from Pakistan for safety reasons.

Pakistan have named their 15 man squad for the first ODI today morning.

Babar Azam will lead the young Pakistan team with highly rated future prospect Musa Khan expected to make his debut after impressing in the National T20 competition. Khushdil Shah and Usman Qadir make the cut as well after impressive performances. Veteran pace-bowler Mohammad Amir has been excluded as have highly experienced Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik.

Pakistan head-coach Misbah-Ul-Haq has made some bold and difficult choices ahead of this series as Pakistan look set to give chances to their new generation of exciting cricketers.
