The Player of the series of the Benaud Qadir Trophy Usman Khawaja states that the pitch has not been kind and the century was the hardest in his career.
Usman’s 104 was one of the crucial innings which helped Pat Cummins to take the odds and declare the innings which provided them with the close win which not only assisted the hosts to win the game but was able to clinch the inaugural trophy home as the Benaud Qadir Trophy is won by the Aussies.
Usman in his post-match conference stated after winning the Player of the Series and said “We’ve had a lot of fun. Want to thank Pakistan, the fans. The boys would agree. The food’s been great. Winning today has been the icing on the cake. I think 350 with four sessions was a pretty good target. I knew how tough it was batting there. It was the hardest wicket I batted on. Was the hardest hundred I got.”
Unbelievable Usman! 🔥
Yet another hundred for Khawaja was the highlight of day four. Tune in tomorrow for the fifth day where we need 10 wickets and Pakistan need 278 runs #PAKvAUS pic.twitter.com/1MhQ4LHFh2
