The Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand has been started this morning. Pakistan cricket team have made a controversial decision ahead of this match as they have dropped Mohammad Rizwan for this match and have given chance to the former Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.
The World’s No. T20I batter Mohammad Rizwan wasn’t picked up for the first Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand which is currently ongoing at Karachi. Pakistan may have dropped him because of his recent form. Mohammad Rizwan’s Test stats in last 13 games is very poor and he has only 1 half-century in the last 13 games he has played for Pakistan.
Rizwan will now have to regain his form in order to find the place in the Pakistan playing XI. Pakistan however has won the toss and decided to bat first against New Zealand in the first Test. Rizwan also had a poor time when England recently came in Pakistan for the three-game Test series. England whitewashed Pakistan in this series and thus board may have decided to take some bold decisions for the New Zealand’s series.
