Additionally, Ahmedabad will host England’s match against Australia on 4 November, while they will take on the hosts India in Lucknow on 29 October.

Having secured their maiden Cricket World Cup victory in 2019 in a thrilling final at Lord’s, England are determined to repeat their success. Despite their recent triumph, England has been runners-up on three occasions in previous tournaments.

“We are excited about defending the World Cup in India. This is the pinnacle of white-ball cricket, and the opportunity to achieve something truly extraordinary on Indian soil would be incredible for English cricket,” Jos Buttler said to ICC.
