New Zealand cheer up with the trophy in their hands as the only-off T20 game has been dominated by the hosts with a win by 18 runs as the New Zealand bowlers blew up 8 wickets of team India.
Giving a tough target of 156 runs, team New Zealand looked positive in the second innings and the outcome resulted in favor of the hosts as India scored just 137 runs, falling short of the target score, ending up the T20 series with a loss.
Yastika Bhatia looked positive in the start but gave away her wicket soon after the powerplay overs while Shafali Verma got out in the same over as India struggled in the seventh over. Amelia Kerr bowled beautifully as she took two wickets in an over which helped the hosts to grab the opportunity to win the game against team India.
Jess Kerr bowled skipper Kaur giving New Zealand an upper hand towards the victory in the T20 game. Jess Kerr had a successful spell as she took 2 wickets by bowling 4 overs and conceding just 20 runs.
Sabbhineni Meghana’s performance was stunning to watch as India was hoping to come back in the game but Meghana too got out by Tahuhu. She scored a total of 37 runs and could have won it for team India but fell short of standing for a longer time.
Tahuhu’s fierce all-rounder skills have made her the Player of the Match for the T20 game as her quick knock of 27 off 14 and bagging in the crucial wicket of Meghana have helped the hosts to win the game by an 18-runs margin.
