
New Zealand have recently announced their Test squad for the England series and have included Ish Sodhi in their team.
Legspinner Ish Sodhi, who finished with 13 wickets in the Test series against Pakistan, was also retained by the New Zealand selectors. Michael Bracewell, an offspinner, is the squad’s second spinner, while Ajaz Patel was left out. New Zealand’s pace options include skipper Tim Southee, Matt Henry, Neil Wagner, Blair Tickner, and Jamieson.

On Sodhi’s inclusion, coach Stead added: “Ish really impressed us with his approach with bat and ball. He’s worked very hard on both in recent years and it was great to see that on the international Test stage.”
The first Test will be a pink-ball day-night match at Tauranga’s Bay Oval from February 16 to 20. The second Test will be held at Wellington’s Basin Reserve from February 24-28.
