No end to West Indies’s misery as another blow to the team going into the second test

West Indies have been struggling in their New Zealand tour as they are yet to win a match in the tour. They have played 3 T20’s and 1 test in the country and have lost three of them while one game was washed out.

The T20’s were closely contested but didn’t go in their favor. The test was one sided forest completely as New Zealand dominated the visitors. Kane Williamson scored a marathon innings of 251 in 400 deliveries in this match. West Indies didn’t stand a chance as they lost the match to New Zealand by an innings and 134 runs.

Now the trouble has came to the selectors as their key players Kemar Roach and Shane Dowrich have pulled out of the remainder of the series. Roach who lost his father a couple of days before the first test has went back to support his family in these tough times. Dowrich who is keeper batsmen for the team has stated personal reasons to pull out of the tour. It is expected that the young Joshua Dasilva will replace Dowrich in the second test.

While Shimron Hetmyer remains under observation after being hit on the helmet in the second T20, his selection remains in doubt. Keemo Paul, who didn’t have a impressive tour is also under treatment for a groin injury.

The next test between New Zealand and West Indies will be played on 11th December.
