Netherlands to host a tri-series ahead of T20I World Cup 2024

The T20I World Cup is around the corner, and every team is getting prepared to perform the best in the big event. The European emerging team Netherlands has hosted a tri-series with Scotland and Ireland in May 2024. The series will be held from May 18th to May 24th in Amstelveen prior to the teams heading to the USA and West Indies for the main event.

During the last edition of the T20I World Cup 2022, held in Australia, all three teams managed to feature in the first round of matches. Scotland unfortunately couldn’t qualify as they finished third in their group stage. To everyone’s surprise, Ireland defeated the defending champions, England, by just five runs using the DLS method. Meanwhile, the Netherlands actually performed well to claim two big wins, which included defeating South Africa, resulting in the big team’s exit from the tournament.

All three teams have shown high calibre and have the capability to do well in the coming years. The Netherlands, who have already proven themselves, will be looking forward to doing even better in the upcoming T20I World Cup. Thus, this series will be a big boost and practice for all three teams to set the tempo for the big event.
