Most of the Indian senior players are likely to be rested for the New Zealand T20 series

India is likely to go with young and energetic players for the short T20 series. Most of the senior players could take a rest due to fatigue bio bubble. This T20 series starts just after a week of the T20 World Cup.

It is expected that a young team will play the T20 series against New Zealand.  In this series, some senior players are going to be rested during the T20 series against New Zealand that starts less than a week after the final of the T20 World Cup. It is the best time for India to utilize the best performer of the IPL 2021. The matches are scheduled for November 17,19, and 21  at Jaipur, Ranchi, and Kolkata. Then it will be followed by two Tests which start from November 25 in Kanpur and December 3 in Mumbai.

Most of the senior players are back to back in bio bubbles for four months. After T20 World Cup, this is the best opportunity for them to take a rest till the South Africa series. It is expected that star players and captain of the team India Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma, speed gun of India Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammad Shami could take rest for the T20 series. Even Rohit needs some rest at least after T20 World Cup, but after Kohli resigns from the T20 captaincy, it is interesting to see how the workload management is dealt with him.

This scenario of resting senior players could lead to bringing young ones like CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, Harshal Patel, Delhi Capitals pacer Avesh Khan, and Venkatesh Iyer into contention for this short series. It is also speculated that Rahul Dravid may take the responsibility for this series as Ravi Shastri has already announced that he will leave this post after T20 World Cup. BCCI  is confident that they will bring coaches during that time.
