Lutho Sipamla replaces Junior Dala for the South Africa series against Sri Lanka

Junior Dala has been officially replaced by new attacking pacer Lutho Sipamla for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.

On Monday evening, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has officially announced that Lutho Sipamla will be included in the series which makes a way out for Junior Dala for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka. Lutho Sipamla has been bought into the squad as Junior Dala had to replace him due to personal reasons as it has not been stated yet by the player. South Africa will lock horns against Sri Lanka from the 2-14th September which is followed by three ODI’s and later three T20 games to conclude the series. CSA on 12th August had officially announced the final playing squad for the ODI and T20 cricket which will fly to Sri Lanka to play the series in Columbo.

The Proteas gives a major announcement about their squad in their latest Tweet “Lutho Sipamla has joined the squad as Junior Dala has been withdrawn due to medical reasons.”

South Africa has been hit with many injuries as David Miller suffered a hamstring injury during the final T20 against Ireland and Test Captain Quinton De Kock was given a rest from the ODI team to prepare for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) starting September 19th. The fitness and performance will be carefully monitored before any decision to be taken by the Cricket South Africa Board as the player’s safety and precautions is a key factor with the Men’s T20 World Cup also starting around the corner. The ODI team will travel followed by the T20 team later.
