Steyn will be playing with overseas players like Irfan Pathan and Munaf Patel. He will also be playing with Sri Lankan international players like Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis for the Kandy franchise.
Marquee player Chris Gayle pulled out of the tournament earlier this week, citing injury problems. Brendan Taylor was named as Gayle’s replacement. Other overseas players like Liam Plunkett have also pulled out.
Sri Lankan icon Lasith Malinga also pulled out citing that he did not get enough time to prepare for the league.
Players like Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Andre Russell will also be playing in the tournament.
The LPL begins on November 26- the first game being the Colombo Kings vs the Kandy Tuskers.
