According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, the right-arm medium pacer Deepak Chahar will be replaced in the India National Cricket Team’s squad for the Asia Cup 2022 by the 25-year-old right-arm pacer Kuldeep Sen, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket.
Chahar will miss the competition due to an injury, and Kuldeep has been added to the roster, according to the same Dainik Bhaskar report from Kuldeep’s coach Aril Anthony.
Who is Kuldeep Sen?
Kuldeep Ramlal Sen, who was born on October 22, 1996, is a Madhya Pradesh domestic cricket player and comes from the Rewa area. He faced Tamil Nadu on his first-class debut in November 2018.
He has taken 44 wickets at an average of 30.50 in 16 first-class games. Additionally, he has participated in five List A games and taken four wickets at a 6.46 economy. He has 13 wickets at an economy of 8.23 in 19 T20 matches.
While he had a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy average in 2021–22, taking four wickets from five games with an economy of 7.75, it appears that RR was impressed by his wide yorker delivery.
