Kiwi pacer Matt Henry to miss the first Test

Matt Henry will miss the first Test in Bay Oval as he awaits the birth of his first child. As mentioned earlier, Kyle Jamieson has been ruled out of the upcoming two-match Test series against England due to a suspected stress fracture of the back.

Jacob Duffy and Scott Kuggeleijn have been named as their replacements. Duffy has travelled with New Zealand on a few Test tours to England. With 22 wickets, he currently holds the second-highest total in the Plunket Shield. Kuggeleijn, on the other hand, has 274 first-class wickets at a 32.52 average. Prior to the first Test of the series against England beginning on February 16, the pace duo is scheduled to arrive in Mount Maunganui on Tuesday.
