A special interaction with a true Knight

The super-fan, who was seen in a wheelchair, met KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane, along with key players Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, and Sunil Narine. In a heartwarming exchange, the fan asked Rahane, “Will we win the next match?” The KKR skipper, with a reassuring smile, promised not just a victory but the ultimate prize. “We will win the trophy for you,” Rahane told the young supporter, reinforcing the team’s commitment to its fans.

KKR later shared the emotional video on their official social media handles with the caption, “A special interaction with a special Knight.” The clip quickly gained traction, with fans praising the team’s heartfelt gesture.

RCB triumphs in Eden Gardens battle

Earlier in the evening, KKR suffered a setback in their opening match of IPL 2025, as RCB secured a commanding seven-wicket victory at Eden Gardens. Batting first, KKR struggled to build momentum, managing a modest total despite getting a good start. However, RCB’s bowling lineup especially Krunal Pandya stopped KKR from posting a formidable target.

In response, RCB chased down the target with ease, thanks to a composed innings from openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli and the visitors sealed the win comfortably.

While the loss was disappointing, KKR’s post-match moment with their super-fan reminded everyone that cricket is more than just a game—it’s about passion, dedication, and the unbreakable bond between a team and its supporters.
