Kohli lauds ‘Dhurandhar’, joins Vaibhav Suryavanshi in praise
Virat Kohli turned viewer and reviewer after watching Dhurandhar, sharing his thoughts on Instagram and calling it a standout cinematic experience. His post added to the growing buzz around the film, which has already drawn praise from young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who earlier said it was his favourite movie.
Kohli said he had “never seen a cinematic experience like this made in India,” adding that the nearly four-hour film held his attention throughout. He credited director Aditya Dhar for his work, calling him a “genius” and praising his “talent and conviction”.
He also singled out Ranveer Singh, saying the actor had reached “a different level” with a performance that he described as “beyond brilliant”. Kohli’s words were direct and strong, with no restraint in his appreciation.
Kohli’s Instagram story text:
“Saw the film today and dare I say I’ve never seen a cinematic experience like this made in India. It brought out every kind of emotion to the surface and I didn’t flinch once for almost 4 hours. @adityadharfilms your talent and conviction is reflected in what you’ve created. Hats off to you. You’re a genius. And although all actors were great in their roles BUT @ranveersingh you have attained a different level after this movie and your performance was beyond brilliant. Absolutely WOW.”
The film’s reception among cricketers adds to its visibility, with both Kohli and Suryavanshi now among those openly praising it.
