Sri Lankan spin bowler Wanindu Hasaranga becomes the purple cap holder during RCB’s match against KKR on Wednesday, 30 March. Hasaranga took 4 wickets in the match against KKR and was emerge as one of the best bowlers in the first innings. It was a fiery spell from the Sri Lankan spinner. He dismissed Kolkata Knight Riders’ skipper Shreyas Iyer, Sunil Narine, wicket-keeper Sheldon Jackson, and Tim Southee.

There’s no one stopping the Sri Lankan star bowler on Wednesday as he unsettled the whole Kolkata Knight Riders’ innings and they could only reach a total of 128. RCB after winning the toss decided to bowl first which proved to be the best decision for Faf du Plessis as the things in the first innings were on his way. Faf’s side requires 129 runs to register their first win of the season. They restricted KKR on a very low total in this Dr. DY Patil pitch, thanks to Wanindu Hasaranga’s wonderful spell.

In his four-over spell, Hasaranga took 4 wickets, giving just 20 runs with an economy of 5.0. It will be interesting to see whether this spell from Hasaranga helps RCB to win their first game or they will have to wait for some more days.
