TATA IPL 2022: Umesh Yadav class bowling helps KKR restricts MI to 35 runs in powerplay

Mumbai Indians could not do much in the powerplay due to the superb bowling of Umesh Yadav and Rasikh Salam and could manage only 35 runs at the loss of one wicket.

Kolkata Knight Riders have once again made a great start in the powerplay due to Umesh Yadav in the 14th match of IPL  between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians at the Mumbai Cricket Association ground, Pune. Umesh Yadav has been consistently performing for KKR in this season and has taken 9 wickets so far in this season. Along with these 9 wickets, Umesh Yadav is also the holder of the Purple Cap of the IPL 2022 season.

In the opening 3 overs of the powerplay, Umesh Yadav and Rasikh Salam bowled very well and got the crucial wicket of Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma could not do much in this match and fell victim to Umesh Yadav after scoring 3 runs in 12 balls. Apart from this, Rasikh Salam, who was making his debut from the side, also impressed everyone with his bowling.

Debutant Dewald Brevis, who came to bat after Rohit Sharma’s wicket fell, played some good shots and hit fours against Umesh Yadav and Rasikh Salam. Mumbai Indians could not do much in the powerplay due to the superb bowling of Umesh Yadav and Kolkata Knight Riders and could manage only 35 runs at the loss of one wicket.
