Kolkata Knight Riders’ Umesh Yadav and Delhi Capitals’ Kuldeep Yadav are the leading wicket takers in the ongoing IPL 2022 season after being benched for nearly all of the matches in IPL 2021.
The KKR franchise bought the Umesh Yadav, right-arm pacer, nicknamed as’strongman,’ for INR 2 crore in the TATA IPL Auction in 2022.
So far in the Indian Premier League, Umesh Yadav has taken 10 wickets in five games with 5.25 economy, making him the leading wicket-taker. Because he has been so good with the new ball, he has taken most of his wickets in the powerplay. Umesh Yadav has bowled with excellent line and length and has given his team early breakthroughs.
Delhi Capitals’ Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets in a game against his former team Kolkata Knight Riders, including two back-to-back wickets off the final two balls of his last over. He grabbed the third wicket with a spectacular catch off his own bowling. He ran back and dove to get it, and he was thrilled when he did.
