TATA IPL 2022: SRH’s coach Muttiah Muralitharan loses temper as Rashid Khan struck Marco Jansen for sixes

Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia handled the final over against SunRisers Hyderabad pacer Marco Jansen to help Gujarat Titians win the IPL 2022 match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Muttiah Muralitharan, a former Sri Lankan cricketer and now Sunrisers Hyderabad coach, lost his patience when Rashid Khan hit Marco Jansen for three sixes in the final over on Wednesday.

With 22 runs needed off the last over to win the match against SRH, Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia struck four sixes off Marco Jansen’s last over to give the Titans a dramatic triumph. Jansen, the South African bowler, was dabbling with his lengths, and on the fifth ball of the over, Rashid drove down on his knees and blasted the ball over the cover area for a six.

Muralitharan stood up from his chair and appeared to vent his displeasure with Jansen for bowling full as the Sunrisers side looked on in shock.

While there was no audio of what he said, spectators assumed he used foul words to show his outrage.
