TATA IPL 2022: RCB skipper Faf du Plessis owns a glorious record in the IPL

After a first-ball wicket, Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar revived Royal Challengers Bangalore with a hundred partnership.

Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore, struck 300 boundaries in the Indian Premier League during the player’s 54th match of ongoing IPL 2022 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium.

In today’s match, Faf also completed 7500 runs in T20 cricket.

Faf Du Plessis also got a wonderful 25th IPL fifty and partnered effectively with Rajat Patidar after bowler Jagadeesha Suchith knocked Virat Kohli on the first ball of the game.

Faf played a captain’s knock in the 15th edition of the league, scoring a 57-ball 88 to assist Bangalore reach a total of 205/2 in their first game against Punjab. Though his efforts were in futile since the Bangalore bowlers failed to deliver, he made an impression in his maiden game for the franchise and shown his abilities as a player and a captain for another well-known team.

Faf du Plessis has been an integral part of the Chennai franchise since his debut in the Indian T20 League in 2012. He was released by CSK prior to the 2022 edition and was recruited by Bangalore to be the team’s captain.

Faf had also played an important part with the bat for Super Kings in their 2021 title run, scoring 633 runs at 45.21, with a strike rate of 138.20 and six fifties in 16 innings.
