Punjab King’s’ Jonny Bairstow completes 4000 runs in the T20 cricket during the 52nd match of ipl 2022 against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday.
Bairstow was just 16 runs away from reaching the 4,000-run club in T20 cricket before the match against RR, having played competitive T20 matches all around the world.
Jonny Bairstow, an Englishman, has been a successful player in all formats of the cricket. He made his IPL debut with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2019 and was a breakout success with 445 runs, followed by 345 runs in the next season. He scored 248 runs in seven innings during the 2021 season. He was offered a deal by Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2022 auction based on his performances.
Bairstow was a valuable asset for his previous team, SRH, and was purchased by PBKS for a staggering 6.75 crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction.
Bairstow has played his greatest T20 innings while he has also been the opener of the innings. He also opened the previous season. He’s in fantastic form, having already scored a Test century against the West Indies before of the tournament.
