TATA IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants’ special gesture on Mother’s Day against KKR

During the 5th ODI against New Zealand in October 2016, Team India members paid respect to their mothers with this gesture.

The players of K L Rahul led Lucknow Super Giants will honour their mothers by carrying their names on their jerseys during the 53rd match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

On Saturday, LSG made the big news through video captioning, “This one’s for you, Maa.” Now THAT’s how you prepare for Mother’s Day – the #SuperGiant way!” on their official twitter page.

The 8th of May is Mother’s Day and players would be wearing their mothers’ names for the second time in Indian cricket. During the 5th ODI against New Zealand in October 2016, Team India members paid respect to their mothers with this gesture.

The KL Rahul-led side is in second position in the points table with seven victories from ten games. With a win over KKR, they would clinch the top spot and finish the week as the top team in the league. If they lose, they might drop to third place.
