Australian fast bowler Andrew Tye is playing his first game of IPL 2022 after he was been signed by the Lucknow Super Giants before the tournament started as a replacement for the English pacer Mark Wood. Mark Wood got injured ahead of the 15th season of the IPL, thus Lucknow Super Giants decided to pick this Australian pacer as his replacement.

Andrew Tye has also played IPL before and he was also under former Indian batter Suresh Raina’s captaincy in the Gujrat Lions team in the year 2016. The bowler also has an IPL hat-trick to his name. The pacer has gained a lot of attention in the IPL but got unsold in this year’s IPL mega auction.

He will be playing his first game against CSK on Thursday, 31st March as the debutant will look to make a good impression of himself on the team to be the regular starter. It will be interesting to see whether Tye can pick some wickets up in his debut game for Lucknow Super Giants.
