Kieron Pollard completed 100 catches for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, making him the first fielder to achieve it for a single franchise in the history of IPL.

Krunal Pandya of LSG was also dismissed by Pollard. On the fifth delivery of the 12th over, MI all-rounder Pollard bowled a short length ball full toss, and Pandya charged at Kieron Pollard to play a pull shot, which he top-edged to short fine leg. Riley Meredith, who was at short fine, made no blunders and was able to catch the ball with both hands with ease.

On April 20th, 2022, Pollard announced his retirement from international cricket. In 2012, Pollard was a player of the West Indies T20 World Cup-winning team. He was the captain of the country at the 2021 T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
