A very bright start for Mumbai Indians in Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai even after losing the toss. Indian cricket team opener Ishan Kishan has completed his half-century in his first game of the new season. The opener played mature innings against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. He started the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma and they both were too good in the powerplay. They were 53/0 at the end of the first six overs.
After Rohit Sharma was dismissed by another Indian bowler Kuldeep Yadav, Ishan Kishan handled the Mumbai Indians’ innings well and played with more patience and resilience. Delhi Capitals’ bowler Kuldeep was the one who gave some belief to the team as pacers weren’t able to take wickets at the start.
Mumbai is in short of some batsmen as Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav wasn’t available for this game. Mumbai Indians are in a good position now but it will be interesting to see where this Ishan Kishan’s amazing innings will take them. The way Mumbai Indians started the innings, it seems they will be looking at a target of 170-180 which is a good total in this pitch as per ex-Indian batter Sunil Gavaskar.
