TATA IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans wins the toss and elects to bowl First

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), like the Gujarat Titans, will be competing in their maiden season of the IPL, and their first match will pit them against one other on the 4th match of the season.

Hardik Pandya, debut Captain of Gujarat Titans, won the toss and chose to bowl first.

“We are going to bowl. First game we want to see how exactly the wickets are playing and keeping the dew factor as well. See, assess and go through from there,” says Hardik on Star Sports Network.

The newcomers will be hoping to get off to a winning start in the IPL. Gujarat will put a lot of faith in their captain, Hardik Pandya, who has a lot of experience playing at this ground.

Gujarat Titans: Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade(w), Vijay Shankar, Abhinav Manohar, Hardik Pandya(c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Varun Aaron, Mohammed Shami.

Due to their participation in West Indies’ Test team against England, Jason Holder and Kyle Mayers are scheduled to be available until after the first week of the IPL. The Super Giants will be without them for the first two games. Marcus Stoinis, who is part of Australia’s white-ball teams for the Pakistan trip, will also be unavailable for the third match.
