Chennai Super Kings’ former batsman Suresh Raina scored the highest 710 runs in 32 matches against Mumbai Indians, followed by Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma with 661 runs in 28 games.

Following them, former CSK captain MS Dhoni has the third highest runs with 589, followed by Ambati Rayudu with 576.

On April 23, 2008, the two teams met for the first time in Chennai’s M. A. Chinnaswamy Stadium. CSK triumphed by 6 runs in a high-scoring game, as their 208 was too much for Mumbai in the end.

Since the beginning of the premier league in 2008, the two champion teams have met off 32 times in the IPL, with Mumbai holding the edge with 19 triumphs and Chennai with 13 victories.

At the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the Mumbai Indians will face the Chennai Super Kings. Both squads have had a rough start to the season and will be hoping to turn things around on Thursday.
