DC started their chase well, scoring freely before Murugan Ashwin snatched two fast wickets in the fourth over, dismissing Seifert and Mandeep Singh.

The Mumbai innings was subsequently interrupted by Kuldeep and Khaleel’s wickets of Rohit and Anmolpreet, but Ishan was ably supported by youthful Tilak Varma, who played an important cameo. Mumbai concluded on 177 for five, thanks to a flurry of boundaries from the youthful opener, Tim David, and Daniel Sams. Kuldeep Yadav was Delhi’s best bowler, finishing with 3 for 18 in four overs.
