TATA IPL 2022: Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah edge out a pool of 40 bowlers in the league; become only players to do so

In 206 balls delivered so far, Jasprit Bumrah allowed five sixes, while Arshdeep did so in 203 balls.

Only two bowlers in the ongoing ipl 2022, Mumbai Indians’ Jasprit Bumrah and Punjab Kings’ Arshdeep Singh, have conceded only five sixes among 40 bowlers who have bowled more than 20 overs.

In 206 balls delivered so far, Jasprit Bumrah allowed five sixes, while Arshdeep did so in 203 balls.

Arshdeep is in his fourth season with Punjab Kings, having made his IPL debut in 2019. Prior to the mega auction, he was one of two players retained by the franchise. The 23-year-old has refined his new-ball skills and is one of the finest death bowlers in the IPL this season.

Arshdeep, a left-arm pacer, has been one of the most intriguing talents in this year’s IPL thus far. Although the fast bowler hasn’t picked up many wickets in IPL 2022, he has maintained a remarkable economy of 7.70 despite being handed opportunities to bowl largely in the final overs and in the powerplay.

Bumrah has a track record of taking wickets in T20 cricket, having appeared in 57 T20Is for India and capturing 67 wickets at an average of 19.89 and a 6.50 economy rate.

Jasprit Bumrah was one of the Mumbai franchise’s compulsory retainers for the ongoing season.

Jasprit Bumrah is recognised for delivering precise yorkers and altering his deliveries to keep batters confused. The right-arm pacer has rapidly climbed to become one of the best bowlers in the world, earning acclaim for his ability to put batsmen through their paces regardless of the conditions or form.
