Star all rounder Kieron Pollard reaches Abu Dhabi ahead of the second leg of IPL

Mumbai Indians all-rounder Kieron Pollard arrives to join the team as he will quarantine for 2 days before resuming ahead of the Indian Premier League.

On Friday, the Mumbai Indians management team informed that Kieron Pollard has officially reached Abu Dhabi to join the squad after he undergoes a two day quarantine period before resuming for the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting September 19th in Dubai. The current Trinbago Knight Riders captain showed his excellent performance during the Caribbean Premier League this year. He proved to be a very important rounder as well as a captain for the team. The current West Indian will now join the team bubble after undergoing a 2 day quarantine period as per the protocols of the tournament.

Mumbai Indians will now clash with their arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings in the opening second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the management and the organisers decided to cancel the tournament in May in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic making situations worse for the team players and decided to stop the tournament immediately.

The tournament has now officially shifted to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah after multiple meetings held by the BCCI as well as the IPL council members to ensure that the tournament gets completed and also the fans get to cheer for their favourite team all over again. The second leg is set to resume from 19th September and the finals are to be played on 15th October in Dubai.

Dubai is now set to host a total of 13 matches. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi will host 8 matches and Sharjah will host 10 matches for the second leg of the Indian Premier League. There was further exciting news that fans can now enter the stadiums without any hesitation amid the COVID-19 situation.
