Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals played a match on 29 September where SRH bagged their maiden win in IPL 2020. Delhi Capitals were on a winning streak as they had come from 2 victories out of which one was a super over win. The toss was won by DC and they opted to bowl first against the David Warner led side. DC was set up to chase 162 runs which were achievable but difficult in front of a bowling attack like that of SRH.
SRH won the game by 15 runs and broke DC’s winning streak. DC is now second on the points table whereas Sunrisers moved up to the sixth place. Apart from loss, the captain of the franchise Shreyas Iyer has been charged Rs 12 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate against SRH. Shreyas is the second captain to be charged with this penalty in IPL 2020. Earlier RCB skipper Virat Kohli was also charged for maintaining a slow over-rate.
