Team hat-trick for DC –
The first wicket came as Kuldeep delivered a loopy delivery on the middle stump. Glenn Maxwell backed away to slog but only managed to slice his shot. The ball went high in the air, and Warner from extra cover ran back to complete a fine catch. RCB was suddenly in trouble as Maxwell had been in good form, hitting three sixes in his knock of 24 runs. Maxwell had to depart as Kuldeep Yadav had struck, and RCB’s scorecard read 52/3.
Kuldeep wasn’t done yet, as he picked up his second wicket in the same over. This time it was Dinesh Karthik who became the victim of Kuldeep’s spin.
In the last delivery of the previous over, Axar Patel had dismissed Harshal Patel. A speculative appeal for caught behind had been made by the DC team, and the keeper, Abhishek Porel, whipped the bails out. Upon review, it was found that Harshal Patel had got a faint edge on his big slog to a length ball outside off.
