Virat’s fierce dominance was witnessed from the start as the veteran Indian batter geared up for a quick 50-run stand against LSG. Having successfully scored his half-ton, Virat Kohli finally had to walk off the pavilion after experienced spinner Amit Mishra came into the bowling attack. Faf du Plessis on the other hand was playing at a decent strike rate but the fans hope that the RCB captain might shift his gear from taking singles to hitting between the wickets.

Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis initially faced pressure the leg-spin bowlers in the match. Later, Faf du Plessis hit Ravi Bishnoi for 20 runs, which included the longest six of the 2023 IPL (115 meters). This encouraged both batsmen to aggressively attack the leg-spin bowlers, and even Mark Wood was hit for a few big sixes. Despite Maxwell getting out on the second last ball, the damage was already done as RCB set a huge target of 213 runs for LSG.
