Mumbai Indians and KKR allowed to train after IPL GC intervention

The two IPL franchises – KKR and Mumbai Indians staying in Abu Dhabi can now start training. After being quarantined for 7 days they were told to be indoors for another week due to the local rules of Abu Dhabi.
The teams before leaving India were informed that they would be allowed to train after being quarantined for a week. While the other 6teams started training, the two teams in Abu Dhabi weren’t allowed. The franchises requested the IPL GC to intervene as they would lose time and training this way.

The Emirates of Abu Dhabi has decided to relax the quarantine norms for both the teams after the Board of Cricket Control of India intervened. Brijesh Patel, IPL governing council chairman along with the other BCCI members held a meeting with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB)  to resolve the issue on Thursday evening.
After a successful meeting both the teams, Mumbai Indians and KKR are allowed to start training immediately without losing any time.

The BCCI members also discussed issues related to the travel norms on entering Abu Dhabi on match days.
The BCCI is yet to announce the schedule due to the same issue of different travel rules in the Emirates.
After the meeting and intervention of Emirates Cricket Board chief Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, there is news that the issues have been resolved. The BCCI is probable on releasing the IPL 2020 schedule in the next 24 hours.
