The IPL fever has returned, with just a few days remaining before the epic clash begins, kicking off with RCB facing CSK in the season opener on March 22.
Known for his discipline and military-like mindset, MS Dhoni, the veteran Indian cricketer, is eager to kickstart the CSK campaign as early as possible.
Despite nearing his 43rd birthday in a few months, Dhoni is all geared up to participate in yet another blockbuster IPL, rumored to be his final season.
Reports suggest that MS Dhoni will be arriving at the Chepauk stadium early next week. Currently, he is attending the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, with plans to fly back to Chennai by Tuesday, March 5th.
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have unveiled their lineup for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, set to commence on April 1st. The franchise, which has clinched the title thrice, has opted to retain key players like skipper MS Dhoni, vice-captain Ravindra Jadeja, and opener Ruturaj Gaikwad. Alongside their core members, CSK has introduced fresh talent to their squad, including New Zealand batsman Devon Conway, Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana, and Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube.

With a total of 25 players, including 8 from overseas, the CSK roster for IPL 2024 was finalized following the IPL 2024 auction, during which they secured the services of 9 new players for a sum of INR 45.2 crore. Among the notable acquisitions are Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra, and Maheesh Theekshana. The team also boasts seasoned CSK stars like Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, Deepak Chahar, and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
