IPL Auctions 2023: Gujarat Titans acquires Shivam Mavi for a whopping amount of INR 6 crore

Gujarat Titans bought Mavi for a whopping amount of INR 6 crore which will also put some great responsibility on the pacer as he is yet to come back into form after his previous performance with KKR which was concluded unimpressed by the franchise, leading to his release. Mavi’s base price of INR 40 lakh is the highest among all uncapped Indians in the mini-auction.

Shivam Mavi of Uttar Pradesh (UP) has led his state’s new-ball attack in the ongoing 2022-23 domestic season across formats. Mavi, known for his fiery pace, has been with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) since 2018 and has 30 wickets from 32 matches. While his unimpressive 2022 season (five wickets in six matches) led to his release from KKR, the 24-year-old was one of the most bankable Indian seamers available in the player pool.
