The auction had to be stopped in between as the IPL auctioneer, Hugh Edmeades fainted while doing the bidding for Sri Lankan cricketer, Wanindu Hasaranga.
Hugh was conducting the bidding for Hasaranaga in the auction, and after the bidding went over 10 crores, unfortunately, he fainted all of a sudden.
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings were in a bidding war for Hasaranga. It was a tough tussle between both the teams as none of them wanted the player to let go.
The right arm leg break bowler started with the base price of Rs 1 crore, and his value just kept on adding and went over Rs 10 crores. He was in the bid for Rs 10.75 crores by RCB when Hugh fainted and the event had to be paused all of a sudden.
The auction and the bidding for Hasaranga will resume at 3:30 pm. Let’s see at what price Hasaranga will be sold at?
We hope the IPL auctioneer, Hugh Edmeades is fine.
