IPL Auction 2022: Rajasthan seize Shimron Hetmyer for 8.50 Crores

The West Indies power hitter was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the TATA IPL mega auction.

The 25-year-old West Indies batsmen went under the hammer in the IPL mega auction after the marquee segment ended.
As soon as the power hitter’s name was announced by Huge Edmeades, who is the auctioneer for the IPl season, there was a huge tussle between DC and RR to get the West Indies player and the battle was won by Rajasthan Royals who spent 8.50 crores to get the services of the flamboyant batsmen.

Delhi capitals were not able to retain their star middle-order batsmen as they lost the bidding war with Rajashtan Royals.
