Ravi Bishnoi struck at a key moment, removing Sai Sudharsan for 73 and breaking a strong Gujarat Titans chase. The wicket came just as Sudharsan looked set to take the game deep and keep GT ahead of the required rate.
Sudharsan falls after dominant knock
Sudharsan had been the mainstay of the innings. He scored 73 off 44 balls with controlled strokeplay and clean hitting. His partnership with Jos Buttler had kept GT in the chase after a solid start.
Bishnoi, brought into the attack to break the stand, delivered immediately. The ball was turned into a wicket in his first over, and Sudharsan’s attempt to attack ended in a catch at long-off by Tushar Deshpande.
Turning point in a tense chase
At 107 for 1 in 10.3 overs, GT were still in the hunt, but Sudharsan’s dismissal shifted the pressure. He had been striking at over 160 and had built a strong base for the chase.
The wicket has given Rajasthan Royals a way back into the contest. With the required rate still under control but rising, the loss of Sudharsan at this stage could prove decisive.
