Jaiswal–Sooryavanshi extend strong start with another 50 stand

Rajasthan Royals continued their positive run at the top, reaching 69 without loss in six overs after opting to bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi maintained a scoring rate of 11.5, putting early pressure on the opposition.

Jaiswal led the charge with 35 off 19 balls, striking three fours and three sixes, while Sooryavanshi supported well with 31 off 17, including five boundaries and a six. The pair looked settled from the start, targeting gaps and capitalising on field restrictions.

Closing in on RR’s top pairs

This was their sixth 50-plus opening partnership in the IPL, placing them alongside Ajinkya Rahane and Shane Watson on the list for Rajasthan.

They remain behind the leading pair of Jos Buttler and Jaiswal, who have 11 such stands, and the combination of Rahul Dravid and Rahane with eight.

For Rajasthan, the consistency at the top continues to set the base, with the current pair building a case as one of the more reliable opening combinations in recent seasons.
